Sweetens Concrete Services understands the importance of safety and strives to ensure a safe work environment. Our goal is that all employees get home to their family and loved ones safely every day. Our safety program includes (but is not limited to):
- 10-hour general construction OSHA requirement
- Weekly electronic tailored toolbox talks
- Safety manual for all employees
- Monitored motor vehicle driving records
- Suspicious behavior training
- SMITH driving training
- Fleet management with monitored safety scores

Sweetens Concrete top 10 Safety Hazards
- Proper PPE always on jobsite:
- Hard Hat
- Gloves
- Earplugs
- Safety Vest
- Safety Glasses
- No use of cell phones or headphones while on the jobsite
- Never ride on the back of a tar pot, on trailer bed, in a skid steer bucket or on the back of a truck bed
- Always place caps on exposed rebar
- Clean all concrete off your person immediately to prevent burns
- Ensure trucks are clear of debris and that loose items are secured
- Clean jobsite of all trash and potential hazards
- Install and maintain all traffic control devices
- Clear all utilities that have been marked by USIC
- Only approved drivers are to operate company vehicles
